ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR HOLY CROSS

Position available: a part-time administrative assistant for Holy Cross Church office  under the direction of the Pastor, Pastoral Council and Coordinator. The successful candidate will provide efficient organized administration for a busy church office, communicate effectively in person and electronically and work collaboratively with the Pastoral Team and Volunteers. CHILDREN’S RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND FAITH FORMATION

The Children’s Religious Education and First Communion & Confirmation classes will NOT be held on March 11, 18 and 25 due to the March School Break.  Classes resume again on April 1.  There also will NOT be classes on Easter Sunday (April 8).  Please contact Tara Wild at tara.wild@telus.net . if you have any questions.

LENTEN PRAYER

LENTEN RECONCILIATION SERVICE

 
On Wednesday, March 21st. there will be a Lenten Reconciliation Service at 7:00 pm, followed by an opportunity for individual confession. We are invited to come together, to pray, to sing, to listen to scripture and to reflect on our lives. Take this quiet time in our busy schedule to prepare our hearts for Easter and a Life Giving Faith Journey.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD

 
Every year, Children’s Liturgy at the 10:30 Mass is suspended for a few weeks around the schools’ Spring Break. This year Children’s Liturgy will not resume for the last quarter of the academic year, due to scheduling difficulties resulting from the very limited pool of volunteers available, bearing in mind two adults are required every week. Heartfelt thanks to the small, dedicated group of volunteers Monika, Dorothee and Catherine who have carried out this ministry over the past year. Our expectation is that Children’s Liturgy will resume in the Fall.
